Interior & Tyres
The Interior is very similar to a normal Fiesta with the optional sound system being offered in both cars the only difference is the speedoclocks which go to to 160MPH unlike the standard Fiesta which goes up to 130Mph also the seats are different with the big Recaro sport seats which help keep you comfortable and still with the backseats also being quite stylish but not bucket seats as you can get up to three passengers in the back.
On the Fiesta ST above which is mine I have bridgestone tyres which are priced at about £90 for each tyre with the car being front-wheel drive which burns a lot of the tyre when putting a lot of revs when setting off meaning they don’t last long but these tyres grip very well to the road and when hitting corners very fast you don’t skid.
Competitors
1. Peugeot GTI - £21,995
1.6 Litre Turbocharged Engine 4 Cyl - Producing 205 Bhp
Six Speed Manual transmission, Front Wheel Drive
0-60 6.5 Sec, Max Speed 143 Mph
Weight: 1160Kg (Same as the Fiesta ST)
The Peugeot GTI has good sports seats with a small steering wheel which makes it extemely good to drive and comfortable espcially going round corners at high speeds with the car having large 18” wheels and has been lowered by 10mm for tackling corners. The car isn’t as comfortable as the Fiesta with it’s big Recarro Sport Bucket seats.
2. Vauxhall Corsa VXR (With Performance Package) - £21,590
1.6 Litre Turbocharged engine producing 202 Bhp
Six Speed manual transmission, 0-60 6.5 seconds with a weight of 1293Kg
I have personally had a drive in the Vauxhall Corsa VXR it has a very nice steering feel to it and the engine note leaves makes you wantwant to produce more noise and with driving the car it makes you want more power
Overall the Peugeot GTI and Vaxuhall Corsa VXR beat the Fiesta ST in a straight line but the Fiesta is thousands cheeper than both of these cars with Ford offering a Mountune Kit for £600 which boosts it to 212 bhp with other companies like Revo offering more power which still makes the car thousands cheeper
