Editorial

Hello my name is Dominic Leadbeater, I'm the editor of Fast Generation magazine. Welcome to the first Fast Generation magazine where I will be talking about a variety of different cars from this year and recent years with lots of different shots from a variety of different angles with key information which allows the audience to know everything about that certain car and it's competitors.

I will have a very strong knowledge about all the cars which are mentioned because nearly all of them belong to my family where it means I have been in a lot of them and even driven a few. The strongest knowledge I have will be for the Ford Fiesta ST which is my personal car which ive had for nearly a year now and have a lot of knowledge about the car from driving it and picking it up from the Ford Dealership.

I developed this magazine because Im passionate about cars and everything about them like looks, sound, performance and much more. Another reason why I decided to create this magazine is because my family has always been into cars for over 20 years where my dad owned his own RS Performance Centre which he built and tuned engines, built cars from scratch, added nitrous to cars and much more which sponsored his car in his rally career which he won multiple trophies. I was taught and brought into cars from a young age where I was taken out in some of the fastest cars throughout the years with my dad teaching me alls bout cars and taking them apart on our hydraulic ramp in our garage.

Growing up I attended a lot of different cars shows all over the country which we spent hours travelling to where I used to collect a lot of different cars models which I have on display in my bedroom and magazines which I have been collecting from a young age which are mostly Ford magazines. One one the things which has helped me to do this magazine is the fact that on my drive we have about 10 cars which are all from recent years which means I have been out in the cars a lot, driven some which means that I can access the cars at at time which allows me to get a lot of information about them with interior shots, costs and lots more.

Page 4 - BMW 5 series F10 535D M Sport

The Bmw f10 535DA M sport displayed on this page is one that my family personally own which isn't standard the F10 535D M Sport is supposed to have 309 Bhp with 630Nm of torque but ours produces 372 Bhp with 794Nm of torque which we personally chipped after having it delivered to us.  This is the 2015 535D which has the black bumper with exhausts at either side with the M Sport package which makes the saloon car more agile due to it's weight but it effortlessly quick. I would say that this is cheap for such a quick saloon car which has extremely good handling and many different settings but has a main rival which is the Jaguar XF Saloon 3.0D S Portfolio.

Comfort + - Roads are very smooth can't feel any bumps always feel like you're on a very smooth surface

Comfort - Comfortable but not as comfortable as comfort + but makes you actually feel like you're on a road a lot more

Page 3 - Ford Fiesta ST

Introduction

The Ford Fiesta ST is a performance hot hatch with three different models ST1, ST2 & ST3 which all are different based on specifications. The car above which we will be reviewing is a 2013 Ford Fiesta ST2 which has the £275 ST style pack compared to the ST1 which includes ...

Facts

180 Bhp 290Nm Torque 1.6 - Litre Turbocharged Engine
0-60 6.7 Seconds
Top Speed - 139 Mph
47.9 Mpg
Six Speed Transmission

17" ST Alloy Wheels
Rear Spoiler
Chrome Dual Exhaust Pipe
Lowered sports suspension by 15mm
Front and rear disk brakes
Recaro Sport Seats
Very stylish with Bodykit

Advantages

Very comfertable even when going round corners at high speeds

Easy controls within the car to work including the bluetooth connectivity for your phone and your friends phones with an aux plugin and charger point with an extra 12V power outlet in the front and in the back for passengers.

The car pulls hard, loves to rev

Good engine note

One of the best handling cars and especially out of the hot hatches with loads of grip and a stable body

Good sized boot for a hot hatch

Disadvantages

Other hot hatches have more power by over 25bhp but Ford offer the mountune kit for the car with the warranty still active on the car

Same interior as other fiesta's

Can only tell it's an ST by a few features like the front and rear brake discs, ST wheels, seats and badge as you can get the rear spoiler on normal Fiesta's

Competitors

1. Peugeot GTI - 205 bhp (Same weight as the Fiesta ST)

2. Vauxhall Corsa VXR - 202 bhp 1293 weight

Both of these cars beat the Fiesta ST in a straight line but the Fiesta is thousands cheeper than both of these cars with Ford offering a Mountune Kit for £600 which boosts it to 212 bhp with other companies like Revo offering more power which still makes the car thousands cheeper

Interior & Tyres

The Interior is very similar to a normal Fiesta with the optional sound system being offered in both cars the only difference is the speedoclocks which go to to 160MPH unlike the standard Fiesta which goes up to 130Mph also the seats are different with the big Recaro sport seats which help keep you comfortable and still with the backseats also being quite stylish but not bucket seats as you can get up to three passengers in the back.

On the Fiesta ST above which is mine I have bridgestone tyres which are priced at about £90 for each tyre with the car being front-wheel drive which burns a lot of the tyre when putting a lot of revs when setting off meaning they don't last long but these tyres grip very well to the road and when hitting corners very fast you don't skid.
